After visiting Acura with my wife yesterday to look at ZDX, we're still talking about it today. I think we might've stumbled into our future car.

Wow! The expansive panoramic sunroof makes a significant difference in the light and openness to the cabin, giving it a more spacious and luxurious feel throughout the interior, and the SH-AWD system (I heard good reviews) is what I need for bad weather conditions.

Now I'm convinced we need to get an Acura ZDX. Unless anyone has a list that will make me reconsider.

Acura ZDX Type S is a force to be reckoned with I get that... if you're looking for an affordable version that is. However, if you want to have a great experience I wouldn't mind considering the much more expensive brands... 2023 Mercedes Benz EQS or the BMW iX are things that you should look into as well. Its just my opinion but you challenged me to make you reconsider so here ya go.

You know, I think Acura is using the ZDX and Prologue to basically test the waters for full-sized EVs in the US. They're making sure their whole operation – getting the cars built, training their techs, setting up the sales process, the whole nine yards – is ready to go before they launch a truly original EV that's going to be a big deal for them.

It reminds me of how Honda did things with the Isuzu Rodeo and the Honda Passport. They basically used the Rodeo as a stepping stone to figure out the SUV market before they launched the Pilot. Seems like a smart strategy to me.

Acura seems to be carefully laying the groundwork with the ZDX and Prologue before diving into a larger EV offering, much like Honda did with the Rodeo and Pilot.
