I'm a bit baffled! I thought I turned off traction control, but it feels like it's still on. I mean, this is an A-Spec RWD, it should be able to spin those tires a little easier!

I went into the Home Screen, then swiped right, and tapped the Traction Control icon. The dash confirmed it was off, but when I mashed the gas, it still felt like it was holding back. That initial hesitation and then the sudden burst of speed... it's clearly still trying to keep things under control.

I'm going to have to do a 0-60 run with my phone's stopwatch and see what kind of time I can actually get.

I’ve heard some modern EVs have a ‘partial-off’ traction control thing where it still limits slip even when toggled off for safety. Might be worth checking if there’s a full ESC-off mode buried in the settings?

If you’re looking to make those rear tires spin, you’ll have to shut off both TC and ESC. But heads up, ESC will kick back in once you hit 30 mph, so you’ve only got a hot minute to play around. The power surge from a standstill is pretty chill on a RWD setup, so it might be worth giving it the full throttle treatment around 10 mph while throwing in a little turn to see if you can get some spin action going.

You may want to double-check if any drive modes are influencing the behavior. Some models adjust traction control automatically in certain modes, even when manually turned off. Have you tried switching to a different mode, like Sport or Track?

In my case, the car acts faster when launching from 0 with TC off. Honestly, I don't know how it is on a harder launch. I haven't tried it (yet). Maybe watching some YouTube videos would help.
