Hi, I’ve got the passenger side airbag off light on after some rain got inside the car. The front foot area isn’t too wet, but about 1/3 gallon of water got into the rear carpet. I tried drying it out, but the light’s still on.

The ZDX seat is different from the TL and MDX could there be a sensor issue or is the airbag mount inside the seat damaged? Has anyone replaced the passenger side airbag, and is it the same as the MDX? What does the dealer usually do to fix this? Any help would be great

That's rough! I'd recommend taking it to the dealer and letting them take care of it. Trying to fix it yourself might make things worse, and it's best to have them do a proper inspection and repair.

The airbag sensor and weight detection system are probably under the passenger seat. Even if the floor isn't that wet, the wiring could've gotten damp. Once everything's totally dry, try gently unplugging and replugging the connectors.

I agree with @GallantGent the zdx unique seat design might have a different sensor setup and the issue could be a sensor or wiring problem rather than damage to the airbag mount itself. Airbag replacement is the last option to have this fixed.
