Hello, guys!

I just got an email from a company (don't ask me where they got my email from) wanting to test smart charging apps and energy services with the Acura SDX. They offered me compensation ($200) to let them connect my car to their smart charging system for a few months. I guess enough time to gather some data (they weren't very specific on this one). I will be allowed to use the car as normal. Nothing would change with my access to the account.
What do you guys think? Would you go for this one?

I’d be cautious about this. It's odd they contacted you without clear details, and sharing access to your car’s data could raise privacy concerns..

That’s intriguing. If you’re comfortable with them accessing your data and the compensation seems fair, it could be worth trying.

If that company doesn’t have any partnerships or contract with your EV, do not test it. Unless the email is coming from the manufacturer, they will definitely help you when something happens to your car.

That sounds pretty interesting! $200 to let them test out smart charging while you still get to drive your car as usual? Easy money! Just make sure they’re not secretly turning your car into a remote-controlled robot.:ROFLMAO: If you’re cool with the details, I’d say go for it!

Hmm, that's interesting... and a little sketchy. $200 sounds good, but how did they get your email? And 'gather data' without being specific? That's a red flag. I'd want to know exactly what data they're collecting and how it's being used. And read the fine print! If it sounds too good to be true...
