I’ve been trying to use Apple Maps for route planning with charging locations and times, but it’s not working. A friend with a Mach-E has it all set up, but it seems like the ZDX might not be compatible. Has anyone else had success with this feature on their ZDX?

As far as I know that feature is only available on certain cars, like the Mach E. I think it has to do with the car being willing to share things like battery percentage with Apple Maps and be told to pre-condition. ZDX won't do that. :(

Here's what I found: The Tesla Supercharger network is expanding to include non-Tesla vehicles, and the Mach-E Supercharger adapter is designed to allow non-Tesla vehicles to use these chargers. While the ZDX is not currently compatible with the Supercharger network, it's possible that future updates or adapters could enable compatibility.

I would say that the ZDX is not officially supported with the SuperCharger network. You CAN use it however but you kinda have to cheat. I've done it.

I have an A2ZEV Typhoon Pro adapter. Get the Tesla app, create an account, and attach a credit card to it for billing. Identify your car as a Lyric however, and that you have an adapter. Now, go to any Supercharger that the Tesla app says the Lyric can use. Initiate a charge from the app. When the app tells you to, insert the adapter and cable onto the ZDX charging port. It will start charging.

It's frustrating for sure, especially since the built-in navigation system will not route us to SuperChargers yet. But in a pinch it works.

This is ridiculous. GM has had access since mid September. Why it takes non-GM Ultium-based cars this long is not justifiable.

Thanks for the info. I’m hoping future updates or adapters will make it easier to use those chargers.

That’s a creative workaround, though it sounds like a hassle. It’s frustrating GM hasn’t fully enabled Supercharger compatibility yet.

When it comes to SuperCharger hassle, wait until you learn there are THREE different versions of Tesla Superchargers: V2, V3 and V4. Version 2 is the most common and ONLY TELSA can use them.
