ZDX Passive Entry Issues

I’m a bit confused about the passive entry system on my ZDX. I thought I could just touch the door handle with the key in my pocket to unlock it, but it seems like I’ve gotta press the button on the handle instead. Is this how it’s supposed to work, or am I missing a setting somewhere?

Anyone know how to get the full passive entry feature working?

That is how it works. Press to open, press to lock. I wish it locked itself like my MDX did.

I’ve gotta press the button on the door handle to get inside as well. I’ve got the key card, but of course, it still needs to be programmed at the dealer before I can even use it.

I tried using just the key card for a few days. The car would start, but unlocking it was a pain. You gotta start the car right after you unlock it with the card. Wait too long, and it won't work. The app is crap for remote stuff, so the key fob is still the best way to do it.
