Hey, I'm trying to swap out some scratched parts on my 2012 Acura ZDX center console. Anyone here tackled removing the console before? Need some tips!

Cheers.

Check out some YouTube videos on removing the TL center console. This is where you should start first. Then watch a few tutorials on disabling ANC in the MDX and Crosstour from behind the radio for extra tips. And please be careful with those leather-wrapped sides on the center console that aren’t screwed in. They are snapped into place. Be super careful when prying them off to avoid any damage.

This is for an Acura TL, but it might help. You don't need to take off any front stuff.

Here's how to take off the back armrest:
1. Pop off the back vent.
2. Separate the top and bottom parts of the armrest.
3. Unscrew the bolts.
4. Take out the bolts under the vent.

That's it!

To fix this, remove the back part of the center console where the rear seat vents are. It's secured with 6 clips and will give you access to the armrest hinges and springs. The armrest itself is attachd with 2 screws, check if one is loose or missing, as that might be causing it to pop out of place.
