Hi everyone!

I’m Cristobal from Enode, a software company that connects EVs with smart charging apps and energy services. Acura SDX is one of the models we want to start supporting this year, which will allow many smart charging apps and utilities to offer enhanced functionality for Acura vehicles.

As part of our testing program, we are offering a compensation ($200) to Acura SDX owners who provide access to their accounts for a 6-month period. You’ll be able to use your account as usual, and most users don’t notice any difference during the testing period.

If you are interested in learning more or signing-up, please reply to this post and I will share instructions and a quick sign-up form. Once you complete the form, I'll reach out to guide you through the next steps.

Feel free to reply here if you have any questions. Thank you!

Hi Loren, thanks for your interest! Happy to provide more details below. If this sounds interesting, I would ask you to fill this sign up form.

What is Enode?
We are a startup building digital infrastructure for connecting and optimizing control of energy devices. Our product is an API that allows leading energy companies and energy management apps to offer smart charging programs for EVs. We are proud to connect more than 300K EVs today to smart charging programs and work with some of the largest energy companies in Europe and the US.

Why are we asking for access to your credentials?
We will use your account credentials to see how the connected service (eg. Acura app) communicates with the vendor cloud. This way we are able to identify the API calls made to obtain different information (e.g. battery status) and controls (e.g. start charging) and replicate those API calls on our own platform. This would allow us to add Acura to the 30+ brands we already support

What about privacy and security?
We understand that asking for your credentials is not common! However, security and privacy are extremely important for us. Because of this, we:
  • Ask participants to change their account password to something that is not sensitive (eg. Enodetest123!)
  • Store credentials securely and never share them. You will have the ability to change your credentials and revoke access at all times, but we would ask you to allow us to maintain access for a 6 month period
  • Will commit to not track or store your vehicle information during the testing period
  • We offer you a $200 compensation for helping us and trusting in us
What would be the next steps?
  • Fill this sign-up form with your email and vehicle model
  • We will contact you over email to coordinate payment and share account credentials
Thanks in advance! Let me know if you have additional questions. You can also find more details here.

Why is anyone not pointing out the obvious? Never give account credentials! Especially to a stranger! Especially to someone who keeps calling our ZDX an SDX!
