The 2024 Acura ZDX comes in RWD and AWD. The RWD one is more fuel-efficient, getting 90 MPGe and going 313 miles on a charge. The AWD version gets 87 MPGe and goes 304 miles. Both cost about $850 a year in gas.

The Cadillac Lyriq also comes in RWD and AWD. The AWD Lyriq is a bit more efficient than the RWD one. Both Lyriqs have similar range and fuel cost to the ZDX.

Both the ZDX and Lyriq use GM's tech for their batteries and motors.

The Acura ZDX A-Spec is a single-motor RWD model with 340 horsepower. The top-tier ZDX Type S is a beastly dual-motor AWD model with 500 horsepower. It also has fancy suspension and big Brembo brakes.

Agree with you. Acura's been kinda lame lately. Teaming up with GM is weird. They need to make some good hybrids or PHEVs.I'm not ready for an EV yet. The whole car industry is a mess right now.
I agree, had a MDX for 8 year. Much better than 2024 ZDX A spec. All cheap interior parts

Where is this myth that EVs aren't selling coming from? From perplexity.ai:

The growth rate of electric vehicle (EV) sales compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle sales shows a clear trend towards electrification, with EVs experiencing significant growth while ICE sales decline. Here are key insights from recent data:
Electric Vehicle Sales Growth
• Global Sales Increase: Electric vehicle sales globally are projected to grow by almost 25% in 2024 compared to the previous year, reaching around 10 million units. In 2023, nearly 14 million EVs were sold worldwide, representing a 35% increase over 2022.
• Regional Growth: In the United States, EV sales are expected to rise by 20% in 2024, with projections indicating that one in nine cars sold will be electric. In smaller markets, such as Brazil and Vietnam, EV sales have seen exponential growth, with increases of up to sevenfold in early 2024.
• Market Share: As of Q3 2024, EVs accounted for 8.9% of car sales in the U.S., up from 7.8% in Q3 2023. Globally, EVs made up nearly one in five car sales in 2023.
Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle Sales Decline
• Market Share Decline: ICE vehicle market share has been decreasing consistently since 2015. In the first half of 2024, ICE vehicles accounted for about 78% of new car sales in the U.S., down from around 97% in 2016. This decline is attributed to the growing popularity of EVs and hybrids.
• Growth Rate: The global internal combustion engine market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 5.2% from 2024 to 2032. However, this growth is modest compared to the exponential rise in EV sales.
Conclusion
Overall, electric vehicles are experiencing rapid growth due to increased consumer demand, technological advancements, and supportive policies. In contrast, ICE vehicle sales are declining as market dynamics shift towards more sustainable transportation options. This trend indicates a significant transition within the automotive industry towards electrification.
