Looking at the pricing of the new 2024 Acura ZDX EV I started wondering is this actually a great deal?

Comparing it to the original 2010 ZDX:
-> 2010 ZDX Base: around $46,000 (probably $64,000 in 2023 dollars)
-> 2010 ZDX Advance: around $57,000 (probably $79,000 in 2023 dollars)

Now, look at the 2024 ZDX pricing:
Base model: ~$50,000 vs ZDX Type S: ~$60,000+

Considering inflation that makes the new ZDX cheaper than its gas-powered predecessor while packing EV tech, better performance, and modern features.

What do you all think? Is this a steal for an Acura EV or do you feel the pricing should be even lower?

You are missing something. The ZDX Type S starts at around $74k, not $60k+. That makes the price comparison a bit different. In this case, the adjustment would look like this:
- the 2010 ZDX Advance ($57K) would be around $79K today (so, higher than the Type S).
So, continuing your perspective, the 2024 ZDX Type S is still cheaper than the top-trim 2010 model.

I am sorry for being a d***, but what's the point of this comparison? I don't get it.

The EV market is crazy right now, and Acura/Honda picked a bad time to launch. EV prices are getting hammered, with everyone from regular brands to fancy ones offering crazy deals.

Hybrids are the go to vehicle for gas mileage,more practical than an electric car without charging stations and time consuming charging. More people has become aware. The best deals are on used EVs, their value is still dropping. I have an MDX hybrid and know first hand the value of a hybrid.
