Annoying Beeping When Parked

We just got our Acura ZDX, and while I love the car so far, I’ve hit my first little annoyance. Whenever I have the car on and the door open, like when I’m parked and just listening to music, it keeps beeping at me non-stop. I get the point of the beeping if I’m actually driving, but when I’m just parked? It’s driving me a little nuts.

I checked the manual and a bit of some googling, but I can’t seem to find a way to turn it off. Does anyone here know if there’s a setting buried somewhere in the manual that lets you disable the beeping in this situation? Or maybe a workaround?

Try doing a full system restart on your infotainment.

Maybe it’s just a safety thing, like a little reminder that the door’s still wide open?

Have you checked if there’s a setting in the car’s safety or convenience menu for alert sounds when stationary? It might be tucked away there..

I get where you're coming from. Would it be possible to just open the windows instead of the doors?

Is this one of those "safety features" that automakers assume we all need? I get the idea behind it, but why does it need to beep non-stop when parked?

I haven’t dug through the full ZDX settings yet, but I’d bet there’s a service menu that lets you disable this. Might be worth asking your dealer if they can tweak it in software.
