Having Issues with ZDX Garage Door Opener

I’m having some trouble with the garage door opener on my 2024 Acura ZDX, and I’m hoping someone here might have a solution. I followed all the steps – it recognizes the handheld remote and even seems to connect with the main garage unit, but when I press "TEST," nothing happens.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any tips for getting Homelink to actually trigger the door? I’ve double-checked everything but haven’t had any luck so far. Kinda so confused.

yes you have to keep trying because there are rolling codes it has to go through before it find the correct one for your garage door

It could be the rolling code issue, some systems require you to press the 'Learn' button on the garage opener itself after syncing the remote. Also, have you tried a full HomeLink reset?

How far off are you when you're trying to program or fire up the opener?

I had a problem with my garage door opener once. After following the usual steps, I found resetting the Homelink system worked. I had to clear the old codes and reprogram everything, and then it triggered the door correctly. What worked for you?

To set up HomeLink, I programmed the remote to the button in the infotainment system. Before hitting Test, make sure to press the learn/program button on the garage door opener. You'll have about 30 seconds to get back to the car and press Test. It took me two or three tries, but it worked fine after that.

I’m still adjusting to using the screen press to open the garage door instead of a physical button, so much to get used to!

Are you using a rolling code garage opener? If so, did you press the "Learn" button on your garage motor before testing? Some brands (like Chamberlain & LiftMaster) need an extra step after the initial pairing for it to work. If you’ve tried everything and it still won’t work, might be worth seeing if a software update from Acura could help.
