ZDX running board

Some jerk hit my ZDX in a parking lot and took off over a month ago! No note, no cameras a total nightmare. The rear passenger side and the running board are both messed up. The shop can't find a replacement running board anywhere Honda/Acura is totally out. I'd be happy with a new one, but at this point, I'd even take my old scratched-up one back if I could just find the end cap for it, but that's out of stock too! I'm at my wit's end trying to find these parts. I've even been looking at used ZDXs online, hoping to find one with decent running boards I could salvage and then just sell the rest of the car I know I'd take a loss. Any tips or leads would be a lifesaver!

Hey, since the ZDX and MDX are like long-lost twins, wouldn’t an OEM board from the MDX fit right in? That board looks like it could be the ZDX's sibling from another model year

That hit and run is awful and it's even worse that you can't find the parts. I understand why you'd consider buying a whole used car for the parts. Before doing that try calling junkyards that specialize in Acuras they might have what you need. Check eBay and other online shops too parts sometimes show up there. You could even try contacting companies that make car parts they might know something. I hope you find the parts and fix your car!

Have you checked salvage yards or online part resellers? Sometimes eBay or specialty forums have rare pieces available.

Also, if you’re on FB marketplace, you might find some hidden gems—people sell off parts or even entire vehicles for cheap. If you’re getting desperate enough to buy a used ZDX, maybe you could find one with less damage and swap parts around.
