I'm really taking into strong consideration whether to wait for the upcoming EV ZDX. I’v heard it's set to hit the market in 6-12 months. I believe Acura and GM are partnering up on this one. I currently own a 2021 Toyota Rav4. I’m just curious as to how these EVs perform. However, details about it are scarce until its release. Any thoughts?

All I can say is that it's a big investment. You're getting cutting-edge tech, a new platform, and new hurdles for dealers and techs. It's awesome, but risky. You're the pioneers. You could encounter glitches and no fixes. Acura has their own tech, which means bugs. Acura's support is poor. You're a tester and you might have trouble with your expensive EV and no backup. This could frustrate you and make you feel neglected by Acura.

I feel like Acura and Lexus aren't putting their full effort into EVs. It seems like they're worried that EVs will hurt their sales of traditional cars. Acura has been a bit of a disappointment lately, and their partnership with GM really surprised me. They haven't even released a decent hybrid or plug-in hybrid, which feels like they're falling behind. I'm not against EVs, but I'm not ready to buy one yet. The whole automotive industry seems to be in a bit of a mess right now, everyone's a little lost.

I’ve been following the buzz around the upcoming Acura ZDX and it looks promising! Acura and GM’s partnership should bring a lot of value, especially with their combined experience in EV tech. While details are still sparse, the ZDX is expected to offer strong performance, refined features, and a solid driving experience, which could be a great step up from your Toyota Rav4.

I’d suggest keeping an eye on updates over the next few months as the release date gets closer. You might even test drive it to get a feel for its handling and features before making a final decision. Have you considered other EVs in the meantime?
